Live Load Deflection Check

Is there a way to change the vehicle that is being used for the LRFD 2.5.2.6.2 deflection check? I currently need to check this for a loading that is larger than the HL93 but realized that when I change the design vehicle the deflection check is still for the HL93.

Live Load Deflection Check

The loading for the live load deflection check is based on LRFD 3.6.1.3.2.

In 20+ years of PGSuper, we've never had a request to use a different loading. What loading do you need to use?

As a work around, you can get the controlling deflection from the table titled Deflections For The "LRFD Optional Deflection Live Load (LRFD 3.6.1.3.2)" in the Details Report, get the loading that causes the deflection, and then scale the deflection with the ratio of your loading to the LRFD loading.

I'm currently using PGSuper

I'm currently using PGSuper for some rail designs and need to check deflections using the Cooper E60 load.

You can get deflections for

You can get deflections for the design live load from the "Moments, Shears, and Reactions" chapter of the Details Report. While this isn't compared to a deflection limit within the program, you can get the deflection and then compare it a limiting value.
