How are the Total Girder Line Reactions at Abutments and Piers values calculated for intermediate piers?

Location: Detail Report|Moments, Shears, and Reactions|Open to Traffic|Total Girder Line Reactions at Abutments and Piers (Including Impact)

I have a two span bridge with a center pier. Using the values given in the tables, the reactions for limit states Service I, Service III, Fatigue I, and Strength I are all calculated using AASHTO standard formula. However, Using the data from the tables, the program is giving me results for the pier that do not follow that formula. How are these values being calculated? Do I have the input for the pier incorrect?

You'll have to provide more information. Your question isn't clear.
From your file, at Pier 2, the reactions for DC, DW, and LLIM are 12.1 kip, 13.2 kip and 163.9 kip, respectively. The Strength I limit state reaction is 1.25(12.1)+1.5(13.2)+1.75(163.9)=321.8 kip. This matches exactly with PGSuper.

In the tables I referenced, For Span 1, Girder C, the maximum reactions for DC, DW, LL+IM are 157.31 k, 26.27 k, and 146.13 k. The Strength 1 limit state reaction is 1.25(157.31) + 1.5(26.27) + 1.75(146.13)=491.77 k. However, PG Super = 895.66. Even if I use PL+LL+IM = 164.82 k, the answer should be 524.48 k. I have edited the original post with a second attachment. This shows a screen shot of the tables I referenced.

Could you let me know where your data is shown?

I'm going to guess that you aren't using the latest version of the software.
Using version 4.0.2, I get the following for Span 1, Girder C at Pier 2
DC=12k, DW=13.2k, LLIM=164.8k, StrengthI=323.4k

Hi,
I am still trying to resolve this issue. I have uninstalled and installed the latest version. The download says 4.0.2, however, when I go to Help|About in the program, it still lists 4.0.11 as the version.

Question 1 - to be absolutely sure that I have the correct version, has the about graphic not been updated?

Question 2 - When I sent you the file yesterday, were the MODOT templates I use still attached? From your data, it appears the girder dead load was not included. I'm trying to determine if the issue is with PG Super or the MODOT templates.

The BridgeLink suite and the individual programs within the suite are versioned separately. You have the correct version. We are working to bring all the version numbers into sync moving forward.

All PGSuper files are self-contained. The file you sent me has all the library entries and data you are using. WSDOT does not publish a MODOT configuration. I'm not sure where you are getting your data from, but it could be the source of some issues.

Reactions check out for me using the 4.0.2 BridgeLink installer (software version 4.0.11).
