The horizontal interface shear check gives me a negative value for the avf min which intern gives a negative value to Vni. is this because my A dimension is very large? I am not sure why it is not calculating this check correctly. please let me know your thoughts on this bug in the program.
thank you.
This definately seems like a problem. Please attach your PGSuper project file and I'd be happy to take a look at it.

thanks!
file is attached.
You have uncovered a subtle bug in PGSuper. The software is not detecting the case where the deck panel support width exceeds the width of the top flange. In your case, you have a 5" panel support width and a 7" top flange. Since two panels are supported on each web (except for the exterior web of the exterior girder), the top flange must be at least 10" wide or the panel support width must be 3.5" or less.
For Girder A, PGSuper is computing bvi as -1" which then takes the negative sign into all the other calculations.
Reduce the deck panel support width to something below 3.5".
I will get this bug fixed for the next release of the software.
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
Best regards,
Rick
