ANNOUNCEMENT: PGSuper 2.7.3 Released

The Bridge Offices of the Washington, Texas, and Kansas Departments of Transportation are pleased to release PGSuper Version 2.7.3.

You may download the latest version of PGSuper from http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/eesc/bridge/software.

This is a maintenance update that includes the following changes:
• Updated for AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 6th Edition, 2013 interim provisions
• Updated for the AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, 2nd Edition, 2011 and 2013 interim provisions
• Updated WSDOT Girder Schedule to match current standards for WF and U sections
• Updated WSDOT libraries and templates to match current standards
• Added stirrup layout constructability check
• Updated and fixed problems with shear design algorithm

A complete list of changes can be found at the download site.

This version of PGSuper gives some really big hints about the future. This version starts to show the power of the PGSuper Application Framework (soon to be known as the BridgeLink™ Application Framework). This is an extensible framework for integrating and linking together various engineering software tools and information. With this release of PGSuper, you will see integrated into the framework the second plug-in application, BEToolbox (TxDOT TOGA was the first). BEToolbox is a collection of WSDOT legacy applications including UltCol (simple circular column moment-interaction analysis) and CURVEL (elevations of vertical curves).

Please continue to enjoy using PGSuper. Your support of our efforts and open source bridge engineering software is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Rick
