03/15/2011 - New Tutorial: Modeling Touch Shoring with PGSuper

This new tutorial demonstrates how to model a touch shoring construction scenario with PGSuper. Touch shoring is used to support precast girders during deck placement to reduce the final stresses in the composite deck and girder system.

The tutorial is available at http://www.pgsuper.com/drupal/content/modeling-touch-shoring-pgsuper

02/22/2011 - Kansas DOT PGSuper Configuration

PGSuper.com Newsletter - February 22, 2011

We just added a new PGSuper configuration to make it easier for Kansas DOT engineers to use PGSuper. The configuration includes  common I Beam sections used by KDOT. Find more information at:

9/16/2010 - New Tutorial: Modelling Lightweight Concrete Using PGSuper

Enhancements made in PGSuper Version 2.4 include support for modeling lightweight concrete. Engineers can now define both the girder and deck concrete as normal weight, sand lightweight, or all lightweight concrete. This new tutorial describes how to model lightweight concrete material properties in PGSuper.

The tutorial is available at http://www.pgsuper.com/content/modeling-lightweight-concrete-pgsuper

10/28/2009 - New Tutorial - Modeling Inverted Tee Pier Caps - at PGSuper.com

Many state DOT's make use of the Inverted Tee Bent Cap system in simple span precast-prestressed concrete girder bridges. PGSuper does not model any specific substructure system, but instead provides a flexible geometric description to accommodate inverted tee bent caps and virtually every other substructure system. This tutorial explores how to define the connection geometry for an inverted tee pier cap.
