01/09/2014 - Warning for PGSuper Users Upgrading to Windows 8.1

Note: This only applies to PGSuper users who are considering upgrading their Windows Vista/7/8 computers to Windows 8.1.

There is a bug in the PGSuper 2.7.4 installer that will make it so you cannot uninstall or upgrade PGSuper after you have upgraded to Windows 8.1. To get around this problem

1) Uninstall PGSuper before upgrading to Windows 8.1
2) Install the Windows 8.1 update
2) Download the latest version of PGSuper and install it.

BridgeSight's new Per Incident Support Plan provides cost-effective, as-needed support for non-PGSuper Professional users at a fraction of the cost of PGSuper Professional. Target response times for per-incident support is four business hours or less. In contrast, response to questions posted to the PGSuper.com support forums can take up to several days.

The Bridge Offices of the Washington, Texas, and Kansas Departments of
Transportation are pleased to release PGSuper Version 2.7.3.

You may download the latest version of PGSuper from
http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/eesc/bridge/software

This is a maintenance update that includes the following changes:

  • Updated for AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 6th Edition, 2013
    interim provisions
  • Updated for the AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, 2nd Edition, 2011
    and 2013 interim provisions

12/01/2011 - BridgeSight Signs Contract with Kansas DOT to Perform PGSuper Modifications

News Release - December  1, 2011 - BridgeSight Software signs contract with the Kansas Department of Transportation Bridge Division to customize the open source girder design program PGSuper to fit KDOT's needs for LRFD precast/prestressed girder design. When completed, KDOT will have a custom girder design program that is tailored to meet their needs at a fraction of the cost to develop software from scratch.

07/29/2011 - PGSuper 2.5 Released

WSDOT posted PGSuper Version 2.5 yesterday. It can be downloaded from

This release contains many new features, but probably the most  important are new capabilities for designing and reporting for multiple beams simultaneously. Users can now select multiple beams in a bridge to be designed, and streamlined multi-beam spec check results give you the power to easily compare results. Below is a list of some of the more important new features.
